Guys, I'm a recent convert from the Windows world and I was curious as to whether there were some good resources for learning more about the nuts and bolts of the OSX OS. I'm used to many of the MCSE type Windows and Server books on detailing the OSI layers of the operating system and bootup process, memory management, etc.. but I can't seem to find very much where OSX is concerned. I'd basically like to have the knowledge base that Apple technicians have concerning the OS, so if you have any good books or online resources that you could recommend, I'd appreciate it.

I know the OS was based on freebsd but I'm unsure as to how similar the underlying framework and kernel is so I haven't known whether just learning freebsd documentation would be relevant or not? Thanks!
