Ok, I have a mighty mouse (the one with the scroll nipple), and for some reason I can only scroll upwards properly, scrolling down does not work or scrolls down slow and jerkily. Could anyone point me to the problem?

Dirt sometimes gets into the little wheel and causes it not to work. Been a know issue with the mighty mouses.

yeah, this is a common problem with mighty mouse.

    apple's official cleaning guide:

my tip is that you wet the scroll ball with cleaning alcohol (methylated spirits). and turn it round and round.

i suggest you google: "mighty mouse scroll ball"

in any case, this problem will occur again. so either that you forget using the scroll wheel, get another mouse (i'm gonna suggest high-end logitech mouse), or get the new magic mouse.

Agreed. Everyone I know has had this issue with their Apple Mouse. The new Magic Mouse is a lot better (and has much less Bluetooth input lag, to boot).

I thought it would probably have something to do with dust or dirt getting inside, thanks for the input guys.
