Over the last few days, I have been having trouble getting Mail to access my hotmail account. I had it all set up and it worked for months.

Has anyone else been having issues with hotmail in Mail?

do you use any kind of plugin like httpmail or some such. If so have you uninstalled it and reinstalled it? Does the loss of hotmail access coincide with an update like to 10.5.3 etc?

Go here. Its the uninstall instructions written by the developer.

You dont appear to be the only one having a problem as evidenced by the last comments left at the end of this blog.

If your going to reinstall I would advise restarting the system before a re-install and possibly checking with cleanapp after the restart but before the re-install that no residual library files have been left. Cleanapp is brilliant and IMHO should be a part of every Mac users arsenal. Its available free here
