I recently owned a Sony Vaio that had a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz chip. If I buy a used MacBook with a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz chip in it, will it have the same performance as the Vaio. I guess what I'm getting at is that do the Intels performs the same in a Mac as they do in a PC if the components are mostly the same, I.E. memory, hard drive, video card, etc. Thanks

same speed.

It'll be the same processor. You'll probably experience faster times on the mac due the OS X and Apples ability to code strictly for that hardware(optimized, opposed to Microsoft who makes general stuff for a huge range of hardware).

Thanks. Where could I get a good deal on a used black Macbook? Stimulus check comes in new week.

only get a mac if you need the OS, or just love the apple look.
