Greetings. I just got a refurbished (dumb I know- but I needed a Mac and had to be cost effective so forgive me) yesterday.
Today the Iphoto and System Preferences Icons are GONE from the system. I cannot get any info anywhere on how to "restore" or do something to reset the computers hard drive to the manufacturers settings when I first got it yesterday (like 24 hours ago!) I have NO disks as again this was used and no manual but I did download the manual and it was of no help.
SO- I'm looking for a Mac Book Pro person who can assist me in figuring out how to fix this thing as I have no other laptop and am not waiting another 23 days for something else. I can get online and can use Itunes and safari and what I need to for now- but I need system preferences and Iphoto.
email me directly please @ [email protected] OR post it here but I'd prefer an email so I can get it on my cell phone.
I appreciate any help anyone can offer :) Thanks :)

Do a search in Spotlight for System Preferences, then drag the icon to the dock. Do the same for iPhoto
