    Mac Book Booting Up Issue.

    I am hoping some one might know what caused my black mac book not to make that sound when I booted up today. I shut it down and booted up again and then it did make the sound. I am just wondering ? Thanks from Jeff.

    If you mute the sound before shutting down or rebooting, you won't hear the little sound, if the sound is "on", you will hear it.
