Hey all, long time no post.
Been without inernet the last month - anyway, a friend of mine gave me a whole load of fonts not to long ago and I added them to my library - soon thereafter I had massive trouble loading Word. It claims every one of the fonts is corrupt and should be deleted. It doesnt delete them just makes me click 'OK' and move on... yet with a even a couple fonts and font weights it takes forever, so the only thing I can seem to do is disable them, start the program, and enable them.
The other thing to note is all other programs have no problem with the fonts and display them fine (adobe/macromedia products). So this seems to be completely within Word.
Has anyone heard of this or can think of a possible solution?
Thanks

Poor cfern, it seems like everytime you ask a question here it always seems that your thread takes the longest to get a response.
My question is, are you loading the fonts the correct way? Using FontBook utility in OS X?
It could also be a confliction issue, such as word basically getting 'confused' between two fonts. Check to make sure you have no duplicates, and such. -
haha, thanks for the sympathy. Yea i loaded them through fontbok and thats how i am enabling/disabling them as well - i think I am going to redownload my ms word instal from university and install it again AFTER installing the fonts - maybe that will update its font list - maybe not.
Thats the only potential solution I have at the moment.

Good luck, it might solve it.
