This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     MP3/OGG/etc player for OS X

    Heya.
    There may or may not be a solution for what I am looking for.
    I don't know if iTunes does what I would like...
    Here is my problem.
    I am really used to XMMS/Winamp style behavior in an mp3 player.
    I have my desktop set up as such: http://home.comcast.net/~miyabina/backgroundish.jpg
    I like my MP3 player to always be open/on top, but have a small footprint...
    Yeah I may just be picky, but lemme be picky dangit!
    It seems that iTunes when importing already stores my music in the format I have it in (main store directory, then artist, then album... but albums folders are named "(day of release) Album Name").
    If I am wrong, let me know please ^^

    Also is there a free version of ShapeShifter?
