I'm curious, if I were to get a new MBP and install windows, would I lose all the niffty functionality of the touchpad?

    thanks.

You'd loose some but I seriously do NOT reccomend buying a Macbook if its just for running windows. BootCamp still needs more adjusting before it can run windows natively at PC performance..

    That is entirely not true.

To OP: If you are planning on reformatting and using Windows as your sole operating system, you would save a lot of money by just buying a Windows laptop. Bootcamp was created to aid switchers, making it easier to transition.
