Hey, you know that stage MBPs go into when the battery dies? It's not sleep, but not a normal shutdown either?

Well whenever I plug the power cord in and turn it back on after it's in this hibernation mode, it loads to the login screen within 10-15 seconds, but it's completely frozen there for about 5 minutes before I can do anything. I can't move the cursor or type in my password.

This happens every single time and has for as long as I can remember.

Anyone know why this happens or have similar problems?

Not sure about the issue but on a side note, if I were you I wouldn't let the battery die down like that. Li-Ions really don't like being drained fully. They tend to develop a memory that way. Point is you will kill your battery faster letting it drain down all the way like that.
