I left my MBP on a pillow on the couch while I got some food. It fell off the couch two feet tops. It was lodged between the couch and a cheap desk with a brown stain.

The edge of my computer now has a brown smudge from the pressure. Any ideas on how to remove this? My MBP was prestine until this happened and I am very upset.

It doesn't look as though I can rub it off with a finger nail but I have been afraid to try much of anything.

    Please help.

Try Mr Clean Eraser. What you're trying to remove is stain from the inner areas of the textured aluminum, and that (might) help.

****, i would feel just as bad if i were, post some pics so we can have a better idea.. try a common pencil eraser (preferably the white ones).. i have used it for some other things and it worked pretty well..

did it scratch or dent ur laptop?

All is well! Thank you Apple Gods!

This was just a scratch. Do dents.
I panicked for about 10 minuets and just used my lens cleaner and cloth to wipe the mark away. It definitely took some elbow grease though.

I did snap a few photos. Keep in mind they are just from my iphone.

    Yes, I was very lucky.

Have you had bad luck with hardwood floors?
