Hi, first time venturing into the Apple/Os X forums on NBR and I just wanted to say hi to all of you.

This isn't a hate/bash thread, keep it to mature discussion.

I want to get something off my chest, Apple makes amazing products no doubt about that personally, I grew up with windows so I'm naturally going to like it more because of that reason.

The laptops are great machines, I have respect for it; its stunning and beautiful. I have a few questions about them that hopefully you guys can answer.

    1) Why do I pay (Australia) such a premium for the product, I know the quality is top notch but for someone who likes budgets it seems to stretch it to much.

    2) Do any of you guys hate Steve Jobs as much as I do? I think its unfounded, but he seems to think he keeps re-inventing products :(

I don't want to make anyone angry, so there are just some simple questions that hopefully can be answered.

    1) Capitalism. A company is entitled to charge whatever they want for their products. If you don't like the price/can't afford it, there are plenty of options available from other companies. Oh, and the fact that millions of others pay those prices means they won't become bargain basement items anytime soon.

    2) Why hate anyone? I think it is sad that folks hate others just because they are successful or that they see things differently/think differently.

Nothing good can come of a thread of this nature.

The shirt answered #1 well enough.

    Question #2... really?
