Hey I just installed win7 on the MBP I purchased today, everything is great except the internal mic isn't working. I googled it and it appears to be a problem, is there a fix out for this issue?

Also I guess I'll throw it in that my MBP is running pretty hot, is this normal? Or is there a fan control

    no idea on the mic...

but... the average temps in Windows will be higher than in OSX, but it still shouldn't be able to get hotter than the max temp it does in OSX, so it shouldn't overheat.

If you're talking about the bootcamp driver issue it's not just Windows 7 (it's all versions) and it's not just the mic it's also the speakers that don't have proper drivers. Apple thus far hasn't done anything about it and we're not even certain if they're aware of this widespread problem with their new hardware. Hopefully a new version of bootcamp will repair all of the driver problems with the new MBP hardware.

If you have the low volume issue on your MBP here are instructions on how to fix the drivers manually: http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=8223556&postcount=43
