    Hey guys

I had to take my 'O' key out today as there was a staple stuck underneath it. After looking up instructions on how to put it back in, I finally managed it.

However, now that i have put the key back in, I notice that it is much more resistant than before and I really have to press it hard, to get it to register - in comparison to the other keys. I believe I may have done something wrong.

Does anybody have any experience with this problem, or would possibly know what i have done wrong. This is really annoying as i have only had my mbp for a few days :( :( .

    Thanks for any help.

The keys on the MBP are very finicky to replace. I'd suggest bringing it in to an apple store to have them fix it for you correctly, as taking it off and putting it it back on too many times can damage the binders beyond repair.

It's hard to explain but here it goes....

Under the keys there is the white hinge mechanism that moves up and down with your keystrokes. each side looks like an x from the side and in the middle of this x, where the hinging action is, the inner one has a pin that goes into the outer one. I had a pin pop out before when I took off my control key. Just gently, VERY GENTLY, pop in back in. Like I said, hard to explain with out some pictures, but I'm not popping my key off again ;)

Oh ya, when your done popping the pin back into it place, That whole hinging deal should lay down flat, when you put the key back on it'll pop up from the rubber keyboard light dealo.

Sorry man, that's all I got.
