So, I've been searching for a way to charge my MBP in the car. So far i've only read of 2 ways to do it, a inverter and this thing from www.mikegyver.com. I'd like to get the cable from mikegyver but its a bit expensive for me right now so I was thinking of a inverter. Anyone know of a good inverter to use with the MBP or any other options to be able to charge it in the car?

Yup. I suggest the inverter. You never know what else needs charging on the road!

i was thinkin of a inverter but heard they suck up power and are inefficient, which is what scared me away from that option. I'll take a look at what compusa has since its closest to me

i think getting an inverter is the easiest way to do it. I got mine in bestbuy for about $25 a few years back...

will you be using ur laptop in your car??? well make sure to send those emails before you start driving somewhere... :p

Get a powerpack, basically a car battery with inverter and 3 ac plugs can be used simultaneously... I got an 800 cranking amps one that will also boost my car, then you never worry about draining your battery pack. The battery pack also has a cigarette lighter adapter hole on it (thats one of 2 ways to recharge it, right through cigarette lighter while driving or plug into ac outlet at night) Mine is a motomaster which I am quite certain is only available in Canada. but You can get equivelents I'm sure. Yes definitely bigger than just an inverter but not that much so and so much more worth it. Mine was 175 CAD
