Ive never owned a mac before and Ive HAD IT with windows vista and windows period!!!!

    I looking at 2 mbp's

the 2.33ghz 17" for $1800, used but in great condition

    OR

    the 2.22ghz 15" for $1700, brand new

Now they are around the same price so money isnt the issue. Screen size really doesnt matter, Im fine w/ either a 15" or 17".

The 15" has the LED screen but ive read so many post saying how the screen looks like a gold color and theres bleeding of light around the bezel. I havent really seen too many bad things about the 17" LCD screen.

The main difference between the two is the graphics card...but Im not going to be playing any games or video editing...I'll be using the mac for viewing / editing pictures, surfing the net and occasional word documents.

So what would yall recommend. Is the 17" 2.33ghz more relaible than the newer 15" 2.22ghz?

    thanks for any input!

    I reccomend the 15 inch.
But, if you dont need the video card, why not just save some money and get a macbook? You could take the spare $ and get like an external screen or somethin.

Yeah, I'm the kind that would go for the brand new one as well. Having said that, I have a 17 inch 2.33GHz MBP and its GREAT. I dont think you'd really be wrong or better off in choosing one over the other.

I think I'll go w/ the 2.2....OR maybe wait a month to see if the newer mbp comes out but as ive been reading about it, who knows when its going to make its debut. : )
