Hey guys...i have a MBP 15 2011 was considering a eGPU first but now I am actually thinking ..maybe not to go ahead and get a vidock cause of the cost factor

Before i put forward my question ...i just want to clarify , I am not debating between the two laptops...all I wanna know is how would be a difference in terms of gaming performance (in fps) ..if i used a 6750m(512mb) or a 650m found on the clevo w110er(2gb)

I love my macbook , but i wanna switch from console gaming ...and desktop isnt an option for me...thats why its either gonna be a eGPU or a clevo w110 er...or ill stick with my MBP for gaming also.....i dont have bf3 ...but bf2 rocks on the mbp even after connecting to my cinema display ....though i have to drop the res a bit. What do u guys think

Doesnt the apple 6750 clock more in the 10-11k 3d mark 06 range? If so, it should be closer to a pretty small difference.

The 650m is MUCH more potent than the 6750m.
Indeed, its over 70% better in 3dmark11.

The 650m is in a whole different league.

10-15% slower than the 555m you just sold in the m14x, the 6770 is about the same as the 555m.you will need a copy of win 7 for BF3as well as far as i know

daughter says medium settings and frame drops into the 18-25 when it gets really busy

    Mr Mischief already did.

The links he provided at notebookcheck.net have both 650m and 6750m.
Indeed, they have macbook 17" and 15" scores specifically.

Macbook 6750m gets around 1159 performance preset GPU score.

The 650m with 29x.xx drivers gets around 2000. (72% better)
    The 650m with 3xx.xx drivers gets 2200. (89% better)

Note please, those are untweaked baseline numbers, but given the difference, I think we can easily conclude the 650m is in a completely different league.
