    Hey everyone.

I did something last night that was very hard to do. My late-2007 Black MacBook 2.2 went back in the box with a clean install of Leopard on its way to Oregon as a trade-in on its new Aluminum cousin.

I ordered the 2.53 13" MBP from PowerMax. The deal of it all is, I get to trade my Black MacBook, my Dell D630, and several other electronics that make it a free trade-up. Considering that my Dell D630c, and the current MacBook will basically be combined from a capabilities perspective into the new MBP, I think this is a pretty good deal.

So - My question to the NBR ether is - Have any of you dealt with PowerMax? They seem to be a friendly bunch of self-proclaimed tree huggers, and communication seems to be a good thing, but I'm having trouble getting this PC/device trade to work as expected, and their e-mail in form is the only way to communicate with them, and the PowerMax folks in Oregon seem to act like I'm the first person with a PC they've ever met, let alone who wants to trade one for a newer Mac.

I need this to work, so if anyone has any secrets on dealing with DealTree (the PC trading partner of PowerMax), I'd appreciate it.

I'm also dealing with the stress of waiting over a week for my new notebook, and using my PC exclusively (which I don't mind), but I hate using something and putting additional wear on it when I've betrothed it to someone else (I will NOT drive a car home that I've agreed to trade for a new one - I've made dealers give me a rental for an overnight wait on a new car!). If anyone has any tips on easing my package waiting anxiety, I'd appreciate any. (The last update from UPS was on the ship date, as its coming ground, and I have NOTHING since then (Friday) as I assume its in a trailer on its way to the midwest from the Portland area.

Sorry for the rant everyone. Can you tell I'm a little anxious?

Congrats on your new Mac. :)

Please let us know how the trade-in goes too. I'm sure your experience with PowerMax's trade-in program may help some other people own a Mac by trading their old PCs in as well. :)

I've come up with some activities on my own while I wait for the MBP today...

Top 10 things to do while waiting for the UPS guy who has your brand new Mac:

    10. Nap - You're restless, but its worth a shot.
    09. Get your PC out and post on forums about how waiting sucks
    08. pace around the room with the view of the street, glancing out the window with each lap.
    07. Jump at any audible sign of a truck (or what may turn out to be a Hyundai Elantra - Those things are loud!)
    06. check the UPS tracking site one more time to confirm that the package is "Out for Delivery" (like it has been since 6AM).
    05. Try to get some real work done in your home office (Try is operative here).
    04. Call someone who will talk for a bit - This person should have experience counseling those with anxiety.
    03. Clean out your blackberry mail.
    02. Clean out your work e-mail.
    01. Clean your house (I haven't reached number one myself yet).

Let me know if anyone has any good ones not listed here. I'm desperately waiting here and I need to pass some time.
