    Hey guys!
I have an issue with my MBP when I'm using vista. It just freeze after a few hours and I don't know why (I don't think that it is the network card driver, as suggested in other posts because I installed the driver provided there. Here is a link to the other post. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=312080 )
I just know that it is a driver issue because I got a blue screen with a notification from windows and it said that windows is shutting down to prevent damages to the computer because of a problem with a driver    .

I hope you guys can help me :D

btw, all the drivers are from the Leopard DVD (excluding the network card driver).

i didnt get bsods but i get hard freezes from time to time.. i'm also almost 100% sure it is because of drivers. the network card driver causes audio crackling and not hard freezing. i read at macrumors it is because the card searches for new networks at certain time intervals and this may be the reason behind the audio crackling. perhaps other forum users may help you on this topic.

I have a unibody MBP and I also get hard freezes occasionally which require me to physically hold the power button down to restart the computer. I too get the audio crackling issue. To partially solve this, search for a program called "anti-lag". The audio crackling is not exclusive to the macbook pro, but to many bad combinations of wireless cards and audio cards in vista. The anti-lag program gets rid of most of the audio crackling and when it does happen it's not nearly as teeth grinding. While playing Half Life online I haven't noticed it at all. I still notice it when watching a blu-ray movie, so whenever I watch a blu-ray movie I simply turn the wireless card off. A very sorry fix but it works.

i installed vista antilag but i didn't notice any improvement when running it. install latest broadcom drivers in the thread stated above, update your nvidia drivers to 179.48 and use the default apple supplied audio drivers. In fact, what i did was remove bootcamp drivers, reinstall them, replace broadcom drivers with new ones, and then go to laptopvideo2go.com and download 179.48 forceware, extract it and replace the original inf with the ones supplied by laptopvideo2go.com and installed it.(when i installed the original 179.48 from nvidia.com, it said my hardware isn't supported). Now the audio crackling occurs at a minimal level. it only happens (with a very little amount) only when i load heavy web pages and scroll them quickly downwards. also try disabling your wireless card when not surfing on the web to see if the freezing stops..
