Hello, I have a Macbook Air whose functions keys are stuck in the F1,F2...etc mode even though the option is not active in system preferences. The strange thing is that any usb keyboard connected to it behaves the way it's supposed to. Any ideas of how to fix it before I just nuke the thing and start from scratch?

contact apple, there are probably scripts that you can run via the command console to offset this or reset this. Sorry for the late/delayed repose. I'm experiencing something similar in that my magic mouse does not register a right click no matter what I do. I plan on contacting apple sometime in the next 3 days, I'll try to bring up your issue as well to see if there are any answers.
