    Hello

On the macbook there is a webcam (obvious).

Which program will allow me to use my webcam so the user on the other end can still see me, using their own MSN. And i can see them. I use MSN messenger currently and have a hotmail account.

    Whoops, that's right!

But then again, you can always use Yahoo! Messenger for Mac and add your MSN friends, now with voice and video :D

The official Microsoft Messenger for Mac doesn't support video chat (which is very unfortunate). I'd recommend using iChat AV or Skype, but the other suggestions other members have made are also great :).

    It does support video chat.
I installed it last year when I first got my MacBook, but I only used it once...

No, unfortunately iChat does not support MSN...whether it is Apple or Microsoft to blame, who knows. But yeah, iChat and MSN doesn't work. iChat works with AIM though.

I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to do cam with a MSN user. I have talked to people on MSN and they had Yahoo and all you get are basic options, Can't see the DP or anything.

THis is funny... All i want to do is chat with my hotmail contacts and have them to be to see me, while they use their own MSN to whatever they use.

how can this not be possible. I aint blaming apple or microsoft, but as consumers there should be a middle ground for us.

We all feel the same way. Personally I think its more Microsoft deliberately slowing down progress for Messenger Mac, just to weaken the platform a bit, but whatever it may be.

You should be able to video chat with all your hotmail contacts. I get around 5-8 fps
