Anyone know who manufactures the screens in the MB and MBP? From Anandtech's review it would seem the MB uses a TN screen, but is the MBP using a PVA/MVA by chance (I'm guessing not IPS sadly)?

The LED screens are made by Samsung and LG Phillips (according to Wikipedia).
I don't think that any laptop nowadays uses an IPS screen.

I've been using my Santa Rosa based 15.4" MBP for more than 2 weeks and I've noticed that the screen doesn't really invert unlike what I get from my TN panel in my Acer notebook at the same viewing angle.. so I'd assume in a way that it may well be using other technology than TN?

Mine's an LG-manufactured LED panel and I can't seem to find any official spec sheets through google.

Well Im sad to report that the link I posted: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1017&message=26930520 is in error at least with the MacBook Pro 17." I just got back from my local Fryes store and checked out the MacBook Pro 17" and there is no way that the display is IPS. Looks more like TN to me. Im not sure about the 15" version since they didnt have any on display.

yeah i do believe all of the macbook/pro is TN panel. the 15" MBP has similar viewing angle (if not worse) than the 17" MBP.

where did u saw/heard/read that the MBP is S-IPS panel?

The links on this thread mention that they are IPS panels.
