Is it just me, or did Apple drop the prices of the powerbook?
A 15" is now 1999.00, with a 128mb ATI Raedon 9700 standard, and with a student discount, it's 1799.00. The 12" with Superdrive, which now seems to be standard, is 1499.00.

    Apple Powerbook G4

And did the 15" and 17" always have that PC-4200 DDR2 RAM? (This I'm not sure of at all...I might have missed it before)

And just when I was thinking it was time to get a powerbook :D

(course, the whole Intel thing could ruin that idea...hate to buy one and find out a month later it's outmoded)

Actually, I guess it REALLY isn't a lower price...looks like Apple just revamped the standards on the powerbooks, and now what was once an upgrade can be bought for the same price as what once was the basic model. Guess it amounts to the same thing, though...

my gf just got a ibooks. i dont think the 12 powerbook update would be enough to spend 600 dls more on a something soo similar. so apple better revamp the 12in'cher a loot next update. iono,, widescreen, higher res, backlit keyboard, better grafic card. so in a couple of years when she needs another laptop, we get a pw 12 inch.. she really likes the silver finish.
