The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I would NEED a pcmcia (cardbus) port and they don't have them. Is there any adaptors on the internet or somewere that is firewire-cardbus or usb-cardbus? If not thats alright.

    No, I have searched for such a device myself but the search was futile.

    Desktops have a PCI to Carbus adapter, but that's useless for our purposes.

    What peripheral do you need connected via PCMCIA? I am sure that the members here on the forum could help you to find an alternate using ExpressCard. (But maybe not :( )
