    Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody had a similar situation and was willing to share wisdom.

So I got excited and installed an optibay caddy as a new home for my SSD. I still have the original HDD in its place. I'm trying to install windows7 on the SSD, and keep OSX on the hard drive. I've created a bootable usb flashdrive (using micrsoft's tool) however EFI refuses to boot from it. I read online that MBP doesn't boot from USB unless it's GUID.

    What are my options???

    1. get external DVD drive
    2. put DVD Player back in, replace HDD with SSD and install Windows on it, from DVD drive in DVD slot.

To dual-boot easily on a Mac, you need to use the Bootcamp setup tool. I don't have dual hard-drives, but when you select your bootcamp partition location I would think you should be able to select your SSD drive there.

altecX, yeah I guess it's hardware solution only ;)

Snork, thanks, but that's not what I asked for...
