So I recently noticed a spot on my display that is somewhat like a light reflection, like you get on your TV when it's very sunny in the room.

Is this fixable? Can it get worse? Is it covered by warranty?

It certainly sounds like a defect if you are certain it is the screen itself that's causing the white spot, and not some grime on the outside. I'm sure that AppleCare will cover that if it is indeed a defect.

I've tried moving at first, thinking it was just the light source in the room and also tried cleaning it but it's still there.

It shows even when the background color behind it is white.

Probably a hyper pixel. Had some on my 1330's screen before Dell replaced it. Looks like a little bright spot? Maybe it stays white, or maybe even changes colors with the background, but just always seems brighter?

Yeah its a brighter spot. So is there some Ritalin for those hyper pixels? Or is screen replacement the only solution?
I'm still covered by warranty, I just don't want to go through the waiting time...

Oh and when I go in the apple menu>About this mac>my serial number isn't showing anymore.

Well, on pc's there's pixel "exercising" programs that sometimes jolt a pixel back to proper operation. I don't know of anything for a Mac, but someone might. In any case, it will probably fail anyway, and a new screen is your only recourse. I also don't know Apple's criteria for how many bad pixels you have to have before a replacement is offered, so might be stuck with it.

The best one on PC is called UDPixel (UD for Un-Dead) made by someone France. By far the best one for PC and for anyone on a mac running windows.

For mac, there is JScreen but while it's not as good as UDPixel, it does digitally massage the screen in full-screen mode in OSX. Works well enough.

I forgot to mention that on one of our MBPs the screen had this white spot (bigger than a pixel, almost like a cluster of 5-10 pixels forming a circle) that looked exactly like a light source being reflected. It's only seen when on a white background and from certain angles. Unfortunately, nothing fixed it. It looked like light leakage from the panel back-lighting in one spot.

I might call up applecare about it but it doesn't bother my wife and it would most certainly require a screen exchange so the machine would have to be sent away.
