Hey guys, so i just installed the microsoft office 2008 (my dad actually had it at his office) after installing it i opened up safari and noticed that letters were grouped together and were messed up like in the screen shot.

Any insight on why this is happening?

It may have installed or removed some fonts?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

    edit: no strikeout?

I agree with namaiki - have you tried restarting the system?

This happened to my brother's MB. All he did was restart it and just keep using it and it eventually went away after a couple days. We thought it was a font issue.

Hey guys, sorry i was in class, i did however uninstall the open office because i installed microsoft 2008 without doing so, maybe the fonts conflicted? Anyways, i did restart my computer and it seems to have worked.

Thanks Namaiki, Colton & Booji :)

Apparently the cause of this (I've had this too when I installed Office 2008) is having safari running while Office was installing. Quiting Safari completely before initiating the Office install resolves the problem too.
