I installed leopard on my 2.2Ghz MBP, it runs pretty quickly but the UI animation and the dock are not as smooth as I would like.

Anyways whilst playing halo I exited by mistake (it kept the res at like 800x600) and I noticed the doc and spaces etc were super smooth!

Why is it that its running poorly on native resolution? Will this be fixed?
    Please help!

Does Leopard maybe demand more resources from the system?

Nah, Leopard is a lot less demaning. Maybe it's still buggy.

How long ago did you install Leopard? Spotlight could still be indexing which would take some time.
