Hi Guys, I tried reformating my mac today but for some odd reason, the installation screen is stuck on " Time Remaining: About 20 Minutes" for the past hour and a half  I don't know whether I should remove the battery and start over or wait it out? Please help ASAP

Could be a sign that you have a bad sector on your hdd.. or a failing hdd.
I would restart the process. This time start with a low level format of the whole drive using disk utility.
NB: this will take along time so maybe let that go over night.
