usually do apple upgrade its product following launching a new OS? or would they drop prices?

    i'm insterested in MBP 17"

would i be better off waiting till the launch of leopard or not?

i'm afraid of the app incompatibility and bugs.

There isn't really a consistency in this...whether Apple releases new hardware along with a new OS. I don't see any MBP update until early 2008, as there is no new hardware to update the MBP with, but there is a possibility of a price cut. Don't expect a sale, as Apple never does sales, but Apple does sometimes drop prices, such as the iPhone.

I wouldn't worry about Leopard bugs and such...looking through the Betas, Leopard seems to be stable and the last few known bugs are being fixed up.

And I guess it wouldn't hurt to wait until Leopard's release to get a 17-inch MBP. There's no harm in it.
