    Nope, it's not real.

A fellow forumer over at Apple Insider made that with Photoshop :D

edit: But you have to give it to the guy. He kinda nailed it. If anything, the new Macbook Pro should at least look like that! :D

    that looks excellent,

and for the record, throw some freakin tags around that link.

I really hope the new MBP has the extra large trackpad like the air, or maybe something a little more special, multitouch tablet surface, or dare I say it, a multitouch display? ^_^

Wow, that's quite a good mockup!

But yeah, feels a little fake. I don't believe they'll use the word "meticulously" :D.

@Bigspin - The X1600 in the MBP was downclocked because it ran too hot just an FYI :)

Yep, so was the 8600m GT. Compared to a reference 8600m GT, the MBP's had 5 MHz less on the core, 50 MHz less on the shader and 100 MHz less on the VRAM.

I thought in the second generation, with Core 2 Duo, they upped the clock didn't they?

I hope they finally engineer some decent thermal solutions so I don't need to double my laptop as a frying pan for my breakfast. The heat is a real turn off for me. It's the only reason I don't own one right now.

Would Apple really keep a DVI port on a new Macbook Pro? (yes I acknowledge the pictures are just a joke).

Its possible, Apple is like that :p. And with the MBA, its pretty clear they're not done with DVI just yet...

It's pretty much EXACTLY what I expect the new MBP to look like, except hopefully the real deal will be even thinner and lighter. But as ever it's what inside that counts, and I'm wishing for 9800M GTS video at least, with the new Centrino 2 CPU upgradeable to a quad-core (as long as we're dreaming)!

Yeah, that's a pretty close rendition of what the MBP is expected to be. MBA stylings :p.

If that is a new MBP i won't be buying one. It looks like the old one so therefore it looks outdated.

Now way in hell for a 9800M. Expect 9600M or ATI equivalent. Quad core unlikely as well. Too hot, too power hungry for a 1" thick laptop and current battery technology.

Well, this mockup is intended for a 15.4-inch MBP, because you can see the speakers on the left and right. On the MacBook, there really isn't that room for speakers on the side.

I really dislike the rounded edges! The current generations box like design seems more professional IMO.
