I’m a first generation macbook owner and I want to get a music phone. I don't like ipod, the ipone is nice but AT&T and slow 2G network=no no. The LG chocolate (the newer one) is hitting the sweet spot for me in terms of functionality and price.

Any macbook owners have experience with the chocolate?

I know that the MB doesn't have a SD slot.

Also I’m curious about whether I can sync the chocolate with my itunes library.

    Thanks :)

I doubt you can sync it with iTunes, but you should be able to hook it up via USB and the Macbook should recognize it as a removable disk. Maybe you could borrow someone's and see.

You will not be able to sync a phone with an iTunes library, with a few exceptions to the rule. Those being the Moto ROKR E1, RAZR V3i, and SLVR L7, all of which have a mobile version of iTunes running on them. And of course, the iPhone, but you already knew that ;)

And Windows recognizes phones as modems...or at least it does for the original RAZR V3. I have not tried it with OS X or any other phones.

The best way to get media files on any Verizon phone is to get a memory card & card reader, and drag and drop the files onto the card. Verizon disables the phone's ability to mount as a drive, so unless you're using the Verizon software for syncing, putting music directly onto the card is the only option.

You won't be able to use AAC files, so if you purchase your music in itunes, you're basically screwed. You can use non-protected WMA, MP3, and whatever Verizon sells. So if you use iTunes, just make sure you rip your music as MP3.
