Any idea how long the backlight usually lasts?

I'll admit to being slightly paranoid about using my laptop for long periods of time in the dark in order to preserve the backlight.

Was actually thinking of shutting off the feature altogether. :p

Does it really burn out after 2-3 years?

I suppose the backlight is LED, so 100.000 hours or 11 years continuous use.

    regards

    John.
