Question about how to use my Macbook to maintain maximum battery life. Is it bad to plug in my Macbook and use it like that? Will that decrease the maximum battery life?

Should I let it drain before plugging it in?

I dont keep mine plugged in all the time. Usually when the battery gets to about 40%, I will charge it up. Once a month or so I'll let it drain completely and then charge it. I've done this with my MacBook Pro for near 2 years now, and the health of my battery is great (getting little over 3 hours of battery life with it still). I follow the same procedure with my MacBook. So far, so good. You can follow the health of your battery thru System Profiler, or download a program called Coconut Battery.
