I have mbp on the way and i was looking on my fed ex tracking page. It said that my package weight 4.4 kg which if am not mistaken means its almost 10lbs and i know the mbp weights 5lbs atleast. The question is what is the other 5lbs, because i only ordered the mbp and the apple care. By the way got it on student discount.

Well, there's also the charger, and the CDs, and the packaging and the documents that come with the Mac. And there's also the styrofoam that protects the MBP inside the box. And the MBP is about 5.4 pounds.

So yeah, it adds up. But I don't recall my MacBook box weighing 10 lbs...maybe 6-7 but 10 is a bit high. Then again it is a MacBook Pro, so it has a larger box.

Its not free for everyone. If you filled out the iPod promotion and Printer promotion (when it was running, and if you qualify) then you will get the iPod and printer. Its free for Students who bought their Mac in the back-to-school season before September 16th.

You actually had to go and order the printer and ipod as part of the same order.

You get the $300 back after you receive everything and fill out rebate forms.

You could try calling customer support and and being really persuasive to see if they're willing to edit your order to make it so all 3 items are part of the same order - although I'm not sure if that's possible anymore if it's already shipped and the order's been closed, but you can try. I had a problem with one of the parts of my order, and they were willing to edit it - but then, my case was simply a case of changing printer models...
