So a buddy of mine just picked up an aluminum MacBook, and sold his BlackBook to me. I'd been thinking about getting another Mac (most likely if they would have updated the 17" MBP) but getting this little puppy has pushed that plan on to the back burner. Initial impressions of this machine is that its solid, but runs a bit hot, and fan can get a bit loud when the machine is under load. I also need to replace the battery (it drained quite fast, and according to Coconut Battery, it only will hold 67% of the total charge).

I'll give a thorough review probably tomorrow after I've had a bit more time to play with it and snapped a few flicks. But, so far I like it, and for the great deal my boy gave it to me for, me and my pockets couldnt be happier

After a complete wipe and reinstall of OS X the fan has settled down and the machine doesnt run up those high temps. Not sure if it was something my friend had installed or what (he removed his data and installed Leopard before giving it to me) but I figured I'd wipe it clean and do an install again. Went to the Apple store and got the battery replaced (machine is still under warranty) so things are looking good!
