    Hi !

    I just ordered my MBP 13" (2.26 ghz) from Amazon for 1049. I should get it on satureday along with with 4gb ram kit (crucial) and a 500gb Seagate Momentus 7200.4 drive. I am very excited :)

    I have a couple of questions :

    1. When I replace the drive, Can I just pop in the OSX install CD and install the OS on the new drive ?

    2. would the new drive significantly decrease my battery life ? what should I expect ?

    And that's a real good deal from Amazon. I've never seen it for less than $1099 on there and beats Apple's $101 black friday sale today. Although I did notice the other MBPs are only $101 off which matches Apple.

    I am planning to get this deal from amazon too, is there any difference buying from amazon and apple retail store? warranty, build quality, etc.

    and does anyone know if the deal from apple can be stacked with student discount.

    Well, Depending on where you are, When you order from Amazon - you don't have to pay tax which makes the whole deal much better.

    Do you know how long this sale will last for. I live in Cali and I am a student and this (well I am looking at the 2.54 ghz) beats the education discount +tax by 70 bucks!

    I am thinking about pulling the trigger real quick. Do you know how much these normally are on amazon?


    P.S. Anyways, I just bought it!! Amazing deal!
