Hi, it's me again. I received my MBP yesterday and I've been playing with it since then. I love it. Its so pretty. But I have a couple of questions.

    1) My 'v' key was loose, and it fell off today. And I don't know how to put it back on. It's just kind floating in place right now. (Which is stupid considering how much I paid for this.)

    2) There are no 'home' and 'end' keys. Is there anyway around this?

    Thank you!

The macbook keyboard is similar to other notebook keyboards, you can reset the 'v' key as in other notebooks, if you can go to an Apple Store they will do it for you.

Home end just 'fn' + up arrow and fn + down arrow

Thanks. I guess I'm gonna have to go an Apple Store, cause I can't get it back on. (Although I really don't like the closest store to me, it's why I ordered this online.)

Thanks for the tip, but that works as a 'page down'/'page up' feature. But it's not too big a deal. I'll just look into getting an external keyboard later.

Then try the left/right with fn. They are labeled (at least on mine) as page up, down, home and end.

Oh cool, that does work. :) But they aren't labeled on mine.

Hmmm they're labelled on mine too... did they remove the labels on the recent revision??? If so that's pretty stupid.

EDIT: just checked the site, looks like a lot of keys have been moved around for some reason... and they got rid of the arrow key labels...

Heh. I didn't even think to try the other arrows. My brain's kind fried from playing with my new laptop. I've spent way to much time with it.

Also does VLC not work with Leopard? Every time I try to use it to play a wmv file, I get a ton of error messages, and the video is really blurry. So I intstalled flip4mac and the wmv files play, but I'd rather have vlc.

ETA: nvm. vlc seems to work, but i keep getting error messages when I try to play extracted files. weird.

Yea, labeled on my Santa Rosa MBP as home and end for fn+left and right.

I'd definitely invest in an external keyboard, myself - the one thing I don't really like about the MBP is the keyboard, it feels mushy to me. But I'm generally using it in my room, so I get to use my lovely aluminum external keyboard instead :-D

Can I ask if there's a 'delete' button on the MBP? I don't mean the 'backspace' button, I mean the button that's usually beside the home & end buttons on a full-sized keyboard.

If there isn't one, is there a way to create one?

Actually, that is Command + Delete to actually delete the file :).
