    Hey everyone,

Its been a while since I've posted here! I used to be obsessed with laptops 3yrs ago, and spent a lot of time here. I recently made the switch from pc to mac : Dell Latitude D420 (one of the best notebooks I have EVER used) -> MBP 13". I made the switch mainly because I need to record/edit music and mac is the way to go!!

If you guys have any questions you'd like answered, let me know. Please refrain from asking questions that are answered in almost all reviews online.

So far the only complaint I have has to do with the sharp edges, you cannot rest your arm on it for long - maybe I'll get used to it?

The notebook itself is VERY good looking, snappy (I got the 4GB upgrade), and the screen is not that big a deal (like I had anticipated, I generally hate glossy screens).

Also the review posted on here is VERY accurate, except I would have to disagree with him on the screen. The screen is really good, I'm surprised.

    Maybe you're dainty! :)

Seriously, I've had my Unibody MB since last December and have NEVER once thought the edges were even remotely sharp or did they ever cause me discomfort. It's not a MB Air.....you can't cut cake with it! :)

You may have a different screen than the one reviewed. I believe there are about 5-6 different screens going around.

i do find the edges where you rest your arm a bit sharp. I have seen others complain about the same thing as well on 2 different mac sites. its pretty common.

the blackbook did this too not as bad but it was a problem then too.

Hello hello, I did find the 13" MBP a very beautiful notebook when I finally saw it at the Apple Store. I don't know if it was the lighting, but I found the glossy screen really not bad at all. :)

There are ways for you to check which model of screen you have. I don't remember how to off the top of your head but I have an uMB and my screen is supposed to be the bad one but looks fine to me. Just don't compare it to a nice one (compared to my sis's dell, it looks slightly better in my eyes).

Yes I do notice the edges cutting into my wrist. It is slightly annoying but I just move my hands a bit and it is fine, or have long sleeves...

Thts a good point. I ordered mine online from the apple store last week, and seems like I got lucky!!

I checked out the MBP at the apple store in NY, and when I was there I didn't like the screen that much (probably because I was playing with the 17" MBP while waiting for ppl to get off the damn 13" models!!!)

Also, i just got around 6:30hrs with my first discharge. I was browsing the web 90% of the time, and the remaining time I was playing with iMovie (recorded a couple of clips) and GarageBand. Brightness about ~60%.
