So i just bought my first macbook(2.4ghz) and i plugged the battery in, turned it on and set everything up. Now iam connecting and so far am liking my new mac alot. Is there anything I need to know about macs to maybe increase my performance and keep my battery from not becoming a dud too quickly? Thanks alot.

NO VIRUS SOFTWARE. I know they sell Norton but its a waste. Apple care is a good idea if you can afford it. Check out shieldzone.com for a really good skin.
