I went and plunked down my cash for a 2.4Ghz MBP at Best Buy. They gave me my student discount, and I had a coupon for double reward zone points on any laptop! Not bad! I did a sold order to pick one up next Friday for obvious reasons, but the coupon was going to expire on Wednesday next week, so I wanted to use the coupon and get Leopard!

    So...frickin' excited!

Quick question! Where's a good place to get an extra AC cord from? They seem very expensive!

    Also, best accessory? :)

    Thanks all!

Hey, congrats, William! Glad to have you onboard! :)

As for best accessory...get a backpack or messenger bag for it! :p

I also recommend a Razer Pro|Click mouse and a Pro|Type keyboard. They're a veritable Applegasm. My roommate had them for his MBP and it was drop dead gorgeous.

Thanks for that information. I think I'm more inclined to use my Logitech VX Nano. You can't really beat USB for speed/response time (over Bluetooth, that is), and that keyboard looks interesting, but perhaps not quite what I need, given that it's got an iPod dock (not really needed), and it's a Windows keyboard! I know it can be used on a Mac, but darnit I've made the switch and want to never look back! :)

(With that said, I'm still dual-booting so I can play Titan Quest :D :D )

Oh, VX Revolution? That is truly an awesome notebook mouse, I'd love to have one.

Well I can second the whole razer lineup, I have a tarantula and a copperhead that i use from my pc, and I dont think id use anything else after using razer. The only downside is that you cant program them within mac(havnt tried with vmware) but macros on a mouse and keyboard are things i cant live without anymore ;p
