The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I am hoping that the quietly deprecated it and are selling/giving off their version over to oracale/whoever so someone els can keep it up and make it available... then you'll have to install it like on other OSes it just wont come bundled.

Right now though it looks horrible, as there is basically no usable alternative to Apple's version.

this is not that big of a deal. sun/oracle already supports linux, solaris, and windows. they will almost certainly pick up development on the mac version.
