I have had an Iphone for a while, but for various reasons was slow to download music. So I put some music on. But I can't get Itunes to play more than one song at a time. When it comes to the end of a song, it just repeats. I thought perhaps that it would only move on to the next song if in a playlist (as opposed to "album" mode), so I set up playlists. Same problem. Just keeps repeating the same song. Í assume I must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what it is. There is a shuffle function, but I want the songs played in a specific order. Help would be greatly appreciated.

you're probably in repeat mode. It's the little circular arrow symbol. Tap it.

I figured it had to be something dumb like that I was missing, but I don't see the circular arrow. I also did an internet search, which mostly confirmed what you said. It said hit album heart to get options, but when I do that nothing happens. I may have to drag myself into an apple store, groan.

Well I figured out what I did wrong. It was pretty dumb, but an internet search suggests others sometimes have the same problem, so here is the solution. While a song is playing, tap the artwork if the arrow symbol is not yet showing. That will bring up the symbol as well as wear you are in the piece. Tap the arrow symbol to stop repeat mode.

Yeah, it took me a long time with my iPod Touch to figure out that you need to tap the artwork to bring up additional audio controls (including the slider that lets you skip to a different part of the song). Not particularly intuitive.
