I was trying to copy over a folder today of about 24 gigs.

My drives indicates that it has 50 Gigs available, but when I try and copy the folder it stops due to not enough space.

Under Disk Utility my drive is only showing 23 gigs. I have no idea why they are different.

I have also just reinstalled Lion on this drive. My old system was only using 70 gigs. I am wondering if there was another folder created when I used Migration assistant to transfer my files over. I then deleted the old user and it's homes folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
