It looks like your mbp is much better than the macbook despite the slightly slower processor.

That is not a good trade. The MBP is much better, since it has a dedicated graphics card, more memory, a great hard-drive, and hi-rez screen.

Absolutely not! There is no real benefit for you. The difference between 2.16 GHz to 2.4 GHz, despite your older processor, is absolutely not worth it considering you have much more RAM as well as a dedicated graphics card. No go!

Yeah, depends on the cash. I would say at least $300 with that...make it the best deal for you, right :D.

what makes you want to make the trade? You could easily sell the MBP and be able to purchase a brand new Black MBP I would imagine.

You will only see a performance hit by moving to that MB from your current machine, if you can currently make use of the 4gb of RAM.

take out the RAM and the HDD and it might be a fair trade with cash from his end.

You need to ask for cash along with that trade. The MBP is far superior. Depends though on the conditions of said machines.

The guy offered $375, and I get to keep the 4 GB ram and the hard drive, providing that I can swap the hard drives with no problems ( which I can do ).

I think it's an alright deal like this...I gain a faster processor but lose the video and bigger screen...both of which I can live with.

If you find the MBP to be over your needs, then you got yourself quite a nice deal!
