I am a Windows user my whole life but I want to try apple out. Most of the people in my school got Macs. But i don;t like Macbooks and i pefer MacPro but i realized apples doesn't offer 14 inch or 13. I remember my old room mate had a 13 inch MacPro but it was a G4.

I also think 15.1 in is way to big for my i got a sony vaio 15 inch and it too damn big.

Also I got a Thinkpad t61 and i heard Apples are just as solid so i am really want one.

So bottom line is, will apple make a 14 or 13 inch MacPro?

Just some clarifications, 15-inch notebooks are 15.4-inch, not 15.1 :).

I would say the Thinkpad is built better, in the sense that you could drop it a few more times before it breaks, whereas the MBP isn't going to be able to sustain that sort of damage. But everyday use, the occasional accidental drop, I wouldn't worry too much.

Its hard to say whether Apple will come out with a smaller MBP. Its been rumoured for a long time now, but with Apple its hard to tell when its going to be released, if ever. I'd look at Macworld 2008 in January and WWDC 2008 as possible introduction dates.

It's hard to say because everyone's though are just based on speculation. Right now, I'd say I think there will be eventually but not until after Penryn is released so I'm guessing a spring release if there is to be one...

They'll send you back towards the door :D. Yeah, Apple is extremely secretive about new products, and it definitely gives them publicity by keeping people guessing.

    1 Infinite Loop FTW! ;)

The notebook your roommate had was probably a 12" Powerbook (old school Macbook Pro). I used one extensively for a couple months, and it is definitely my favorite notebook. It is difficult to put anything other than integrated graphics in a 12" or 13" chassis, especially if it is thin and aluminum.

I can't believe it's taken Apple this long to replace to the 12" Powerbook. It was a very popular model. I would have bought one but for the FX5200 video card.

I agree. I find 14-inch notebooks are the best. A good screen size, a good notebook size and just enough room to fit a bit more power.

Hm? I use Photoshop on my desktop PC. I make my own sigs too...such as my current signature image.

I use Photoshop on my PC because one, I can't afford getting Photoshop for Mac and I've already had Photoshop for my PC for a while :p. Second, my desktop PC has a larger screen and resolution, so helpful in working in Photoshop.
