So is it possible to upgrade the hard drive and the ram for the macbook pro by yourself and is it quite easy to do so?
Also will upgrading the hard drive void the warranty? Upgrading the memory does not correct?

Memory Yes.
Harddrive No.
(technically you could upgrade the harddrive yourself if you have the knowhow, but if you do, you void your warranty).
Remember only the Macbook's memory and HDD is user upgradable. The Macbook Pro's memory is the only thing user upgradable. Upgrading something that is not user upgradable will void your warranty. -
argh guess I'll have to shell out the money for a bigger hard drive if i get a mackbook pro

WTF the MBP HD isn't considered user upgradable? Thats really crappy.... man...

That is the guide that shows you how to replace MBP parts including the hard drive. Now you tell me if that seems user replaceble. -
Ah... I didn't remember it being that hard. why the hell did they have to make it that hard.
I didnt' want to have to pay Apple for the HD upgrade... crap
