No. not really a great deal. It's a Core Duo model which is old and prone to problems. For 300 more you can get a refurb of the newest model from the apple store with warranty.

 

thats not a good deal at all...i'd stay away from the core duo's unless it is really cheap and under apple care still...I went through 3 before i just ended up returning it...and like system said, you can get a refurb for close to that amount of the newest model....also I dont think you can purchase apple care once the original warranty has expired. I also vaguely remember seeing the 1st gen core2duos refurb for $1299??? keep an eye on the apple refurb store as they constantly change stock.

 

they are both right...im waiting until the summer to pick up a nice refurbed mbp...
