Is Apple still using the rMBP displays that had burn in problems?

After an extensive search for a 15" laptop I have decided that I am most probably going to go with the MacBook Pro retina. I have read about burn in problems that some folks had with their rMBP displays if they received their rMBP with the LG panel instead of Samsung

I just want to know if this is still a possible problem or has Apple stopped using the bad displays?

    Thanks

burn in? haven't read about it... I read a handful of people had faulty displays that had a ghosting issue... but that was not widespread.

I also haven't heard of any burn-in issues on the rmbp.

Lots of image retention and ghosting issues posted all over.

    apple.com, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4034848?start=0&tstart=0,
and macrumors.com Retina MacBook Pro Users Still Complaining of Image Persistence - Mac Rumors
    http://macperformanceguide.com/blog...okPro-Retina-screen-burn-in-ghost-images.html

3 of 8 units at work had to be replaced due to screen issues ( 2 LG, 1 Samsung )

I had to call BS on this reply from Apple, in which the genius rapidly backtracked.
because of 7 other IPS based laptops in my direct possession, 81 at work and 491 external displays and iMac's no one else has seen this phenomenon on an IPS display. even the mediocre display in the x220, and the first 10 bit deepcolor IPS attempt 2.5 years ago had no such issue.

image retention : burn in :: defective radio : defective brakes

not saying that it's a non-issue, but that it is certainly a different issue than image burn in, and burn in is worse.

agreed but so many users here in NBR and elsewhere use the wrong terminology, so on occasion we need to expand a bit. and yes full burn in is a nightmare.

I've seen a fair amount of discussion on image retention. Burn-in, not so much. I'd be interested in some links to the burn-in discussion to explore further.

If burn in was a problem, everyone would have the dock etched into their screen. Obviously that would be widely reported on world news.

Sorry for the wrong terminology...I meant image retention. Point is I don't want to put down that kind of moola and get a display that has image retention. I was hoping at this point that Apple stopped using the affected displays which I read are from LG.

it seems a rare issue... and if it happens to you, you show Apple and they swap it out.
