I want to install XP on my MBA. I have some questions about it. I've tried searching but could not find relevant info.

    1. I have no DVD drive at all. Can I use a downloaded bootcamp from a torrent site? (I have the original dvd's here)

    2. What can I expect performance wise? I have a Asus 1,6 Ghz centrino to compare it to.

    3. Will there be any driver issues? I want to connect a standard keyboard, mouse and external display.

    4. Will I be able to use the function keys?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. You need the Windows installation disc to install Windows, so even if you download Boot Camp, you will still not be able to install Windows without a CD drive.

    2. Faster, since it's Core2Duo

    3. The trackpad might not work as nice as it does in OS X, but the default Boot Camp drivers should be sufficient for most of your needs.

But my Asus has a 7200RPM HDD ;) I get the point though.

Performance of XP is very good imo.

DVD ripping with 1 Click DVD ripper divx:
    Asus Centrino 1,6Ghz 18 fps.
    MBA 1,6 C2D 32 fps.
